Evansville’s Very own Dream Car Museum

parkingOkay folks. REAL quick I’m going to talk about this awesome place that was just created in the back of one of the dealerships I work with.   Where may this little gem be hidden you may ask? Well it’s right there on the corner on Diamond Ave and Heidelbach on Evansville’s north side.

Larry Bennett’s Dream Car Museum was just a thought one day and a reality the next.  I remember hearing the talk and thoughts on the museum and thinking, no way. Just no way. Well guess what. Yes way!  Larry Bennett and his crew made it happen in a way I thought was just never imaginable.

The coolest thing about this museum is that everything in here is out of his private collection of cars. Sure, some of it he purchased after coming up with the idea for the museum but a lot of it he already had.

Now I am not going to give a way too much and tell you everything that is in it but I am telling you whatever kind ofmuseum car you like, he has it. Old classics, muscle cars, exotic cars, race cars, motorcycles, movie and tv cars. Even a barn find!  He has so much memorabilia that I couldn’t possibly see everything on the first time around. I may give you a sneak peak in a picture. SHHHHH

Anyway, I wanted to tell you I HIGHLY suggest you letting one of the beautiful girls who sit up from give you a tour.  I was amazed at the details they could rattle off about every single car there and how they remembered where the awesome memorabilia was from is beyond me. However they did and had I not let them walk me around and tell me I would never have known about half the stuff I saw. I mean, I was pretty impressed with the Guitar signed by Aerosmith.   It would be perfect if you have a group or club or just a bunch of friends who wanted to go see it.  You can actually call 888-482-9864 and book a tour at no cost! You should really do it.

giveawayNow, because it is new, only opened on October 1st, they are trying to spread the word.  So they are having a giveaway on our Facebook page. One quick last thing, you may or may not know who Larry Bennett is.  Larry Bennett is the car guy. He owns two dealerships but did you know Larry Bennett is also known for giving back to the community? He doesn’t really like to be in the limelight so you won’t often see him in pictures but Larry regularly donates to schools, police departments, and many local charities.  The Dream Car Museum is FREE of charge. Yes, I said it. No cost to anyone who wants to come browse. But there is a donation box, or motor rather,at the front desk and they accept any and all donations. Every two weeks  they change local charities.   You can learn more about Larry in this short video also located on their website.
