If you don’t like where you are…

Todays writing is brought to you by this lovely picture I saw on facebook. All day long I read post and post of people complaining about there life. Their family, their friends, their jobs, their significant other, their body, their mind. Guess what? You, and only you, have the power to change it

Now the one thing you really can’t change is family, however, you can chose who you give your time and energy too.  You can chose how you react to certain situations and you can always chose whether you allow certain things bother you or not. I know, sometimes that last can be pretty hard. One of my faults is I feel too much which means I always allow things that shouldn’t get to me, get to me. This is one of the things I personally am working on.

There is something to be said about looking on the brighter side of things. It makes one happier. It makes life easier. It allows you to move on to the next phase of your life without dwelling on the negative.

Every time you have a negative thought, I challenge you to find a positive thought to that same situation.   If you don’t like where you are, change it, get a new job, find new friends, move, ditch the significant other. Make yourself look for something positive. If I can do it, you can too.

Let me let you on a little secret, if you want to be happy, make someone else happy. Give a compliment. Smile at someone. Make a difference.

    • Joyce, me too! Me too! Sometimes I say this to myself over and over again to kick myself outta tree mode! 🙂

  1. Great post. We spend so much time with negative thoughts, and it attracts more negativity! My favorite thing to do is when I find myself in a ‘negative’ space, I quickly think of my favorite memories from my immediate family. I always end up laughing by the end of it, and the negative thoughts – are gone!

  2. Of course it is true!!!
People waste or their energy on complaining and complaining and they never get successful or happy!! There is only as much energy as there is. I’d rather spend mine on setting goals, comming up with plans and striving for what I believe will give me peace and happiness.
